At the end of this day when the moon is rising, the flickering of a candle in the window brings a glow to my cozy at home spa. Water rushes into the 100-year-old rusty cast iron tub with vintage hardware and as it fills, I add a cup of salts, and a couple drops of essential oil. Beyond the obvious reasons for a bath, this is a ritual that hydrates and nourishes the body through the largest organ, the skin. One of my favorite things to do is mix baking soda with rosehip oil, or another oil of choice which makes for an amazing face/skin scrub!
This is a ritual has been graced my life for three years and it hasn’t gotten olde. Every time you slip into the water it embraces and imparts its life-giving nourishment. A ritual at the close of day, ended with breathwork, a prayer of gratitude for the day and a wish for good night’s rest.
