Hibiscus Summer Delight Tea

Hibiscus, what a bouchée medicinal drink that nature provides for us! I have known about it for a long time but in my mind because it felt indulgent and expensive, and I never hunted it down. Then earlier this summer a friend of mine introduced it to me and wow! It neither indulgent or expensive, but rather is a beautiful way to hydrate and nourish our bodies. I’m hooked!

It’s super simple to make, and if you live in a warmer climate, it is a beautiful perennial for the garden!

  • 1/4 cup hibiscus tea from local health food store or an online retail store like Mountain Rose Herbs
    1-gallon clean water
Raw local honey (sweeten to your taste)
Cold brew the tea by itself for up to 24 hours in refrigerator.

    For added flavor:
    Strawberries and fresh Basil
    or raw Ginger

Add the flavor of your choosing and, let is set for a couple hours.

    Enjoy!
