A Harvest Sonnet
Spring is wonderful! But at the end of summer, I feel as though my soul has come alive in nature's form and it is my favorite season to host. This end of summer celebration began with guests meandering through the garden with a glass of home-made Ginger and Basil Hibiscus Tea and ended with a dance party in the kitchen as we finished cleaning up the remnants of our feast and a great time.
I’m grateful to be celebrating such a bountiful harvest season and I feel gratitude that my Creator reminded me that the reason there is a harvest is because we planted, nourished a seed.
I’m grateful for our mini starter vegetable garden which produced tomatoes, green beans and melons. And despite its small beginnings it has produced a daily supply of green beans and enough tomatoes to make sauces like Rustic Blackened Tomato Paste and more for winter seasoning.
Eden doesn’t just happen, rather it is created. All we need is a seed and that seed is the thoughts we have, our imagination and the story we choose. It’s not easy, but the natural laws of life are simple, and anyone can start anywhere.
When I began my own journey, I started by changing my perspective and choosing the story I believed. So, I ask you: What kind of life do you want? What do you already have in your hands in your Eden by elevating the quality of your home, gardens, and foods?
We are of God, we are creators, we are to be stewards of the land we live on, nature in its original form. Create a personal oasis all while doing so from your sovereign Identity. You can give Heaven a voice through your creativity, and unique voice.
Why wait for Heaven when your stewardship of it can create it now?
